The Pizza Religion

Of course like almost everyone in the USA, we’ve been eating pizza since birth. The search for the perfect pie has been an ongoing struggle but we finally did something about it. In 2005 we opened our own pizza joint!

After intense research consisting of driving all over Rose City, we took notes to what elements of pizza we liked best from our local pizza shops. We weren’t necessarily trying to copy the “East Coast” pizza style, but we created a pizza that satisfied nothing but what we thought the way pizza should be.

In the quest to make one pizza flavor different from the other, many places add that special “something” that no one’s supposed to know about. Some use mysterious ingredients in the sauce, the dough, or even pull special voodoo tricks like making these things in dark cavernous basements and pouring whiskey in the mix. Not that we don’t like whiskey, but there seems to be a great deal of folklore when it comes to people trying to explain what is done to their favorite pizza to make it taste a certain way.

Our philosophy is simplicity. The crust, the sauce, and the cheese should mix into a beautiful blend of flavors while maintaining their individual taste. We found that the best way to do this is to use nothing but great ingredients and to use them in amounts which compliment each other. The result is evident. Check us out for yourself.
